News Nissan appoints Steve Milette as Oceania Managing Director
MELBOURNE, Australia 29/01/2026 – Nissan has announced the appointment of Steve Milette as Managing Director of Nissan Oceania, effective 1 April 2026.
Milette succeeds Andrew Humberstone, who, after successfully completing his assignment in Australia and New Zealand, will return to Europe to take up a new senior role at the company’s regional headquarters in Paris. Details of Humberstone’s new position will be announced in due course.
Milette joined Nissan in 2017 in Canada as Vice President of Sales and later served more than five years as President of Nissan Canada. He is now based at Nissan’s North American headquarters in Franklin, Tennessee, serving as Division Vice President for Dealer Network Development, Customer Resources, Training and Customer Experience for Nissan and INFINITI across the United States and Canada.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, and a dual Master of Business Administration from Université du Québec à Montréal and Université Paris Dauphine.
Massimiliano Messina, Chairperson for AMIEO, said: “I would like to thank Andrew for his leadership over the past two years and developing a strong future roadmap for Australia and New Zealand. The plan developed under Andrew’s leadership provides a clear and robust foundation for Nissan’s next phase of growth, and will serve as a blueprint for Steve to build upon in the months and years ahead. With a range of exciting new products coming to Oceania that truly defy ordinary, I look forward to Steve applying his customer-first approach to bringing these to market.”
Humberstone will continue to manage operations across Oceania until Milette assumes the role in April.
