Milliseconds, millimetres and milligrams -this is what it comes down to for our Formula E team. But the experience behind each incremental change is measured in decades. The success of the 24/25 season came through great leaps in two key areas of electric performance, informed by decades of expertise in electric mobility.

An efficiency kick that can change it all.
The shorter the wires, the shorter the energy has to travel. More tightly integrated components led to less energy lost, reduced weight and moving parts, and fewer components to cool. Combined with state-of-the-art semiconductors and a precisely-refined motor, Nissan squeezed every drop of energy from the Gen3 battery, taking powertrain efficiency up to 95%.

Battery management mastery
Even batteries appreciate good working conditions. Ultra-precise monitoring of hundreds of parameters, including cell-voltage, current, state of charge and temperature, helped maintain a precise temperature window and avoid overheating. The system also controlled power send-out, distributing power with absolute precision to every wheel, whilst closely managing energy regenerated through braking.

Combustion or electric? We found the most irreverent response. A new combination of a petrol-fuelled engine, and an electric battery, providing forceful acceleration, reducing emissions compared to combustion engines, and significantly upgrading the driving experience.
